SCB nursing school reopens

Published on:

State Nursing Director Dr lingaraj Mishra on Thursday vacated the May 12 sine die order imposed on the SCB Hospital’s nursing school and reopened the school after two months of its shutdown.

The nursing students are now allowed to stay in their hostel and attend classes regularly.

The sine die was ordered after the Government had failed to resolve the school crisis, which witnessed a week-long turmoil in May. The students were demanding removal of their Principal Kajal Rani Sinha for allegedly misbehaving and assaulting them. Sinha was, however, shunted from the school late last month being replaced by Basantilata Panda, who took charge earlier this week, sources informed.
