Vigilance police on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at houses and office room of SCB Medical College Hospital Superintendent office Senior Stenographer Pramod Kumar Basantara on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The Vigilance sleuths conducted raids at Basantara’s residential government quarter at Cuttack, two buildings at native village Champati, in Cuttack district, double-storied building at Nimpur, Jagatpur, Cuttack, relatives house at Cuttack and office room at Cuttack and found assets worth Rs 1,03,64,860.
During house search, movable and immovable assets worth Rs 1,03,64,860 was unearthed from the possession of Basantara and his family members.
In another such case, Vigilance officers conducted raids on office room and houses of Rama Chandra Dalei, Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, Bhubaneswar at three different places in the State and detected assets worth Rs 1,25,45,117 in his and his family members’ names.
The detected assets including triple-storied building at Bhubaneswar of Rs 87,75,936 , a plot at Bhuubaneswar of Rs 82,000, three two- wheelers of Rs 1,85,000, deposits in different banks and post offices of Rs 10,81,684, gold and silver ornaments of 15,30,245 and household articles 8,90,252.
