To reinforce its presence in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Region, SBI life Insurance here on Monday inaugurated its New Regional Office (RO) on the second floor of Ranjeet Tower, MP Nagar Zone 2.
The new office was opened by Arijit Basu, MD & CEO, SBI life Insurance, in the presence of KT Ajit, CGM - SBI, Bhopal Circle and Anand Pejawar, Executive Director – Marketing, SBI life Insurance, along with other dignitaries from State Bank of India and SBI life.
Along with the Regional Office inauguration, SBI life Insurance, under its CSR initiatives, extended support by facilitating easy local conveyance for disabled children to the Ability Development Centre, by Arushi. Arushi, a Bhopal based voluntary organization works exclusively towards the upliftment of the people with disabilities. The Ability Development Centre includes education, rehabilitation and mainstreaming of 150 children with visual impairment, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy and physical impairment.
While talking to media persons, on the occasion, Basu said Bhopal Region has reported a growth of 42 per cent in its Total Individual New Business Premium (APE), at Rs 327 crore as compared to Rs 229 srore during the same period in YTD February FY 15- 16.
Basu said that while sector growth was recorded at 10 per cent in the year 2015-16 SBI life recorded growth around 40 per cent for the same period in Bhopal region and for the year 2016-17 the sector growth was recorded around 20-22 per cent while SBI life recorded growth at the same healthy rate of 40 per cent.
In MP and CG the number of SBI life branches are 61 and 7200 agents. In a year around 1 lakh new customers purchasing life insurances are added in the region, he added.
