SBI Life Insurance extended support to the Trilochan Netralaya for project “Cataract Blind Free Sambalpur”.The project aims to eradicate preventable blindness and provide qualitative eye care services to the underprivileged sections of society. In order to make institutional eye care facilities accessible to everyone in the deeper pockets of Sambalpur district, the SBI Life Insurance donated a 40-seat bus to facilitate eye screening and transfer of patients to nearby hospitals. The initiative undertaken as part of company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme will benefit more than 7,500 needy people every year.
MD and CEO, SBI Life Insurance Mahesh Kumar Sharma handed over the bus keys to founder and director, Trilochan Netralaya Dr Shiva Prasad Sahoo in presence of CGM- SBI Ruma Dey, president-Zone III, SBI Life Insurance, Ravindra Kumar and Regional Director- Bhubaneswar, SBI Life Insurance Amit Kumar Saha along with other dignitaries.
