The Utkal University and the State Bank of India (SBI) signed an MoU on Monday for integration of the SBI e-Pay in the presence of university Vice-Chancellor Soumendra Mohan Patnaik and SBI Chief General Manager BVG Reddy.
The MoU is a landmark initiative by the Utkal University to facilitate fees collection from students and affiliated colleges through digital banking platform.
The SBI e-Pay is the payment aggregator service wing of SBI which would facilitate online payment of fees by the students and agencies of any public or private sector banks by using the SBI’s payment gateway. Any mode like Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Mobile Banking/Net Banking facility provided by approximately 42 partner banks can be used by the users or payers besides the facility of cash deposit at any SBI branch across the State.
It would promote hassle-free digital transaction.
The SBI also donated an ambulance to the Utkal University under the bank’s corporate social responsibility drive.
