The State Bank of India Staff Association’s (SBISA) 66th Triennial General Council and the Circle Triennial General Council Meeting of the Bhubaneswar Circle would be held on September 23 at Puri, said All India State Bank of India Staff Federation general secretary Sanjeev K Bandlish at a Press meet here on Tuesday.
Bandlish said about 1,500 delegates from the eight SBI Circles in the country and 4,500 members of the Bhubaneswar Circle would participate in the meeting and have discussions on various issues regarding recruitment, rising nonperforming assets (NPAs), wage negotiation and others.
He said that after discussions, a resolution would be passed for the bank’s empowerment and management. He further said the association is also going to celebrate its 100 years and is the only bank staff association to celebrate its century celebrations.
He said that though the Eleventh Bipartite Wage Revision is due since November 1, 2017, the Central Government had raised hopes of the employees by insisting on the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and the public sector banks to conclude the wage revision well before that date. But the bank employees feel demoralised and frustrated over the undue delay in settlement of wage revision, he added.
Among others, All India State Bank of India Staff Federation president VVSR Sarma and SBISA chief secretary Rajesh Kumar Tripathy and SBISA Bhubaneswar Circle general secretary SP Behera were present.
