The State Government has carried out a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre and transferred as many as 12 officers and also given some of them additional charges.
Rural Development Secretary Bishnupada Sethi has been given additional charge of Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) Managing Director.
Sethi, who is also the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), will be handling Disaster Management Authority with ease and there will be synergy in this sector, while preparing the administration to face any type of natural eventuality.
Gopabandhu Academy of Administration Director General Sangram Keshari Mishra has been posted as the Odisha State Warehousing Corporation (OSWC) Chairman.
Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been appointed as the School and Mass Education Department Secretary. Gudey Srinivas is posted as Principal Secretary of Commerce and Transport Department.
Manoj Ahuja and Sanjay Rastogi have been posted as General Administration Department OSDs. Saurabh Garg will assume the post of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Secretary. Anu Garg has been appointed as the labour and ESI Department Secretary.
Similarly, Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed Excise Department Secretary.
Dhal, who has served in the Union Government and later served as Special Resident Commissioner has been assigned additional charge of Science and Technology Department.
Ranjana Chopra is the new Secretary of Cooperation Department.
Chopra will also handle the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration (GAA) as its Director General and Vir Vikram Yadav has been posted as Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department Secretary.
