n The Utkal Chemists’ and Druggists’ Association’s (UCDA) elections for the 2019-22 term was held here on Saturday wherein P Satyanarayan was elected as its president with 116 votes. He won the election by a margin of 64 votes.
Prasant Mohapatra was elected as general secretary with 106 votes. He won the election by a 34-vote margin.
Election officers Bikram Keshari Pani, Gopinath Barik and Debasish Padhy verified votes of 179 voters, who participated in the polls from 26 districts.
Police personnel were deployed during the election to avert any disturbance during the elections.
