Satyajeet quits little Champs show halfway

It came as a bolt from the blue for his fans as Odisha’s singing sensation Satyajeet Jena quit the Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa li’l Champs show halfway saying that his voice is undergoing a transformation phase.

Satyajeet had own hearts of people for his tremendous performance in the show. His decision has left everyone in the show, including the judges and juries, shocked.

As anchor Aditya Narayan was about to declare the contestant to be eliminated this week, Satyajeet’s father stood up and announced about the decision of quitting the show.

“Satyajeet’s performance is not upto the mark now. He is feeling pain in his throat after singing for a long time. He will have a break for 2-3 years. He will practice for low nodes and return to participate in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa lil Champs competition for seniors,” his father said.

Judge Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali respected his father’s decision saying, “It’s a matter of sorrow for us that we are losing a great singer. However, we respect your decision as Satyajeet is going through a changing phase and putting stress on his voice won’t be good for his voice in future.”

Satyajeet, who returned Odisha on Saturday, said, “I decided to quit the show as my voice is undergoing a change. Doctors have advised me not to put stress on my voice. However, I will continue singing and wish to be good a singer in future.”
