Sattar Regiment of India and the Sattar Memorial Committee members provided relief in the flood-hit areas of Sukinda, Tamaka, Kaliapani, Nalipur and other villages in Jajpur district for four days.
Chief Commandant of Sattar regiment Dr Manzoor Ali, Krusaka laxman Das and journalist Jayanarayan Mohapatra along with 200 volunteers distributed relief items among villagers. “After complete receding of floodwater, we will help the villagers in rebuilding their homes. We are also trying to provide fertilisers and seeds to the villagers,” said Dr Ali.
