The Kendrapada Sadar police on Tuesday registered a case against Golarahat GP Sarapanch Trilochan Rout on a complaint that he misappropriated public money and subsequently misbehaved with Derabish BDO Pitambar Samal during enquiry.
Samal in his FIR alleged that Rout had slyly withdrawn `7.15 lakh, which was meant for taking up of MGNREGS projects, from bank account without taking signature of the Executive Officer. He had called for Rout to his office for an inquiry. Accordingly, Rout reached his office at around 2.10 am on Tuesday. When he asked Rout why he withdrew the money violating guidelines, the latter started abusing him with filthy language. The Sarapanch also threatened him of dire consequences.
