With an additional charge of kidnapping, the State Crime Branch police have filed charge sheets in all the three cases in which the self-styled godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Roul had been implicated.
While the Crime Branch police have charged Roul with all the sections of IPC and SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for which he was booked and arrested in August, the investigating sleuths have added Section 365 (Kidnapping) of IPC against him in the case filed by the woman medico against him after investigation.
Roul, his son Satyam and four others were booked by the CB police by registering three separate cases. While charge sheet in one of the cases was submitted in the trial court last month, for the remaining two cases, they were filed on December 4 and 12 respectively, informed the godman’s counsel Manas Chand saying charges have been framed against his clients on all the sections for which they were booked.
