The R and B Department provided the property valuation report of Sarathi ashram at Barimul to the Crime Branch. Excluding the Sarathi temple, its four gates and sculptures, the rest of the ashram's property was estimated at Rs4.48 crore.
The main building, library, lodge (a three storied building), inquiry and reception counter building, old prabachan pandal, new prabachan pandal with pipe and angle frame structure, compound wall, courtyard and parking place of the Sarathi ashram were valued.
While the main building located at Sarathi ashram premises is worth Rs1.18 crore, its library building is Rs69.25 lakh, the three storied lodge is worth is Rs94.33 lakh, its inquiry and reception counter building valued at Rs17.05 lakh, the old prabachan pandal, new prabachan pendal with pipe and angle frame structure were valued at Rs42.25 lakh. Similarly, the worth of the compound wall was pegged at Rs27.55 lakh and the courtyard along with the parking place of the ashram was estimated at Rs79.71 lakh, informed official sources.
