Eminent santoor exponent Tarun Bhattacharya accompanied by Prosenjeet Poddar on Tabla will perform at several educational institutions in Bhubaneswar, Bargarh and Sampalpur during his weeklong tour of the State starting Monday.
On Monday the santoor maestro performed a recital at the Utkal University of Culture. The Odisha chapter of Spic Macay, a voluntary and nonprofit movement, is arranging these events in educational institutes with an aim to promote art and culture among students and youths.
“Tarun Bhattacharya will be performing at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Cuttack, IIT Bhubaneswar, Silicon Institute of technology, DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, GITA Engineering College and BIMTECH during his weeklong stay in Odisha,” said Babita of Spic Macay. The santoor exponent would also visit Bargarh and Sambalpur on July 23.
