Sankalp Yatra for awareness on Govt failures

Published on:

The Janajagaran Abhiyan will begin a State-wide ‘Sankalp Yatra’ from Bhubaneswar on March 23 to urge people to vote for MP and MLA candidates, other than nominees of ruling parties, having clean images in the coming elections.

“Youths and women have been deprived of their rights in the State. Both the Union Government and the State Government are responsible for this. We will urge people not to give any support to the parties which are in power at the Centre and in the State as they have not implemented promises made before the last election,” said Abhiyan advisors Kishore Patro and Madhu Sudan Sethi at a Press meet here on Wednesday.

He said Abhiyan activists would move to villages to create awareness against the failures of the Union Government and the State Government among voters. They would also urge people to opt for the NOTA in the EVMs if they don’t find any worthy candidate of his or her choice.
