Sanjita Dhali, who has been fighting for justice since 2009 to prove that she is the biological daughter of former Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) sitting MlA from the Jayadev Assembly constituency Arabinda Dhali, joined the BJP at the party’s State headquarters here on Tuesday.
Arabinda Dhali was denied a BJD ticket this time, possibly because of his ongoing legal tussle with Sanjita, who has been demanding a paternity test to prove that she is indeed the daughter of Dhali. The latter has been dodging a test on the ground that the matter is sub-judice.BJD Rajya Sabha member Sashibhusan Behera was allotted the party ticket for Jayadev in place of Arabinda Dhali. It may be noted that Arabinda Dhali himself was in the BJP before joining the BJD.
