The Samruddha Odisha on the occasion of the Independence Day pledged to make Odisha a State of total prohibition at a meeting here under the leadership of party general secretary Prabir Mohanty following the hoisting of the National Flag by senior party leader Dr Upendra Prasad Nayak.
Along with speaking about the significance of the day, the speakers at the meeting also laid emphasis on how the State should achieve total prohibition. The party members pledged to launch a people’s movement for achieving this purpose and took a mass resolution to take part in the movement.
Among others, Wing Commander Gorachand Barik, Paresh Bhanja, Prahlad Swain, Sanjeet Sethi, Bichitrananda Dash, Rajnikant Mishra and Ashwini Patnaik were present at the meeting.
