The Utkal Sammilani released a ‘quotation plate’ with the poem of Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi on Sunday at its Mancheswar Industrial branch office.
A poem of Bhima Bhoi, ‘Prani Nka Arata Dukha Apramita, Dekhu Deku Ke ba Sahu. Mo Jibana Pachhe Narke Padithau, Jagata Udhhara Hau’ is inscribed on the plate.
Notably, the Sammilani had earlier urged the authorities to use the poem of the saint poet in schools and offices.
Utkal Sammilani branch president Dillip Dashsharma chaired the meeting. Sammilani Bhubaneswar branch vice-president Nirakar Mahalik, senior member Dwarika Nath Mohanty released the plate.
The speakers rued that this poem of Bhima Bhoi has not got due recognition in the State.
Sammilani vice-president Pratap Kumar Sawin, shiba Prasad mishra, and Ashok Kumar Palatasingh were present, among others.
Sammilani joint secretary Bibhuti bhushan Swain gave a vote of thanks.
