Over 500 workers of the Odisha Bhumihina Praja Samiti led by its State president Er Debashisha Hota on August 29 gheraoed Kamakhyanagar Police Station for not taking action against culprit who attacked its activists Ranjan Kumar lenka, Susama Samal and Nilamani Kabi. The Samiti alleged that the culprit was shielded by Mines Minister and Kamakhyanagar MlA Prafulla Mallick.The stir was withheld after assurance of security for the leaders and arrest of the goons. Two PSOs will be present in front of the house of Samal and another two in front of Kabi’s house.
Here noteworthy that, on August 28 Charan Mallick of Digodia attacked brutally lenka in front of Samal’s house. After the attack, lenka and other workers had lodged FIRs against the goons. The next day Samal was attacked and stones were pelted at his house.
However, police were silent on the matter.
