It was to their surprise that school students of two panchayats of Naktideul block in Sambalpur district had the district Collector as their teacher during his visit to the schools on Wednesday.
Shubham Saxena conducted surprise visits to the Primary School in Badobahal village under Similipal panchayat and a school in Kaeni village under Ghusuramal panchayat.
While taking classes at the schools, the Collector also asked questions to the students and expressed satisfaction over their answers. He too took stock of the midday meal programme at the schools.
During an interaction, the students told the Collector that they have never seen a city. The Collector directed the teachers to facilitate the students’ visit to a city soon.
The bureaucrat’s act has been applauded by locals.
