KIIT and KISS founder and eminent social activist Achyuta Samanta on Tuesday rubbished the allegations relating to his Rajya Sabha candidature as totally untrue.
In response to the accusations by right activist Saubash Mohapatra, Dr Samanta said all the facts contained in his affidavit while filing nomination papers as a BJD Rajya Sabha nominee are true in totality. He challenged anyone to prove his affidavit false.
Dr Samanta asserted that there are no criminal cases pending against him and that he is voter only in Bhubaneswar as his name in the electoral roll in his native village of Kalarabank has been deleted.
Earlier in the day, Mohapatra had met the State’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) challenging Samanta’s Rajya Sabha candidature on the basis of his allegations.
