Czech Republic conferred its prestigious civilian award ‘Silver Medal’ on KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta on Wednesday, Czech Republic Industry & Trade Minister J Mládek conferred the award on Dr Samanta at a grand function at the Czech Embassy in New Delhi. The award was conferred on him for his remarkable work in social service. Dr Samanta dedicated the award to the KISS.
It is matter of pride for Odisha and its people that a person from the State got this prestigious civilian award from a European country, said eminent Odia personalities present on the occasion. It is not a small thing to get a civilian award from a European country, they pointed out. Over 300 renowned persons from Czech and India were present at the function. Eminent dancer Sujata Mohapatra performed Odishi dance.
