The Samajika Nyaya Abhijan, Odisha on Saturday extended support to the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) announced by BSP president Mayawati and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on the day.
“The Mahaganthan will drive the country’s politics to a positive direction. We believed that this grand alliance would help Odisha’s 94 per cent population comprising Dalits, Adivasis, backward classes and minorities in strengthening their socioeconomic and political bases.
We also believe that Odisha’s youths, students, intelligentsia and famers and workers will be involved in it and drive out communal forces in the country and bring a political change in the State.
Odisha needs to be freed from two families, who have ruled the State for 40 years,” said Abhijan convenors Krushna Chandra Sagaria, Akshaya Kumar Mallick and Debiprasad Prusti.
