Salepur pharmacy college closed sine die

Published on:

The Institute of Pharmacy and Technology at Salepur was closed sine die as students continued their agitation by locking college gate over the death of a fellow student in a road accident.

Students locked the institute while college staffs were inside. The situation only improved after the police reached the scene.

“We have been pressing ahead with a strike for past three days. The college authorities are seeking more time. How much time do they needIJ We have lost hope for a favourable outcome,” said a student.

“It was an accident. There is hardly anything that the college can do. We have still taken time to look into the possibilities. It is not even three days yet. The students, however, have locked down the college and have vandalised the property,” said Principal SK Kanungo.

It may be noted here that the students have been agitating since one of the students met with an accident three days back.
