A staff nurse of the Salepur CHC died and her husband, a scribe, was injured critically in an accident near the Khaira Check gate under Cuttack district’s Jagatpur police limit on Saturday. Ranjit Malik and his wife Namitanjali of Nischintakoili were returning from Cuttack on a bike while a Cuttack-bound speeding lorry overturned on them at the gate. Namitanjali was found dead by the time the truck was lifted. Seriously injured Ranjit has been admitted in the ICU of a private hospital at Jagatpur. The Truck has been seized and both the driver and helper arrested.
