With an objective to ensure tobacco-free schools, a webinar was organised by the Salaam Jeevan in collaboration with AVA-SLCA on Sunday. As many as 100 participants from across the State participated in the event. Joining as chief guest, State SSEPD and Public Enterprises Minister Ashok Panda explained the audience about the benefits of different governmental schemes to combat drug abuses. Among others, former Khadi Village & Industry Board Chairman Tejeswar Parida and AVA president Sudhir Dash spoke. Salaam Jeevan MD Muhammad Imran Ali coordinated event and highlighted about the ill effects of tobacco and role of de-addiction centres in treatment and rehabilitation. The winners of video and poster competitions were felicitated at virtual event.
