The Documentary Discussion Club, a joint initiative of the Samadrusti Media and lohia Academy, screened the award-winning film Sala Budha (The Stupid Old Man) at the lohia Academy here on Saturday evening. Huge numbers of audience enjoyed the screening of the Koshali language film, which is of 90 minute duration. Noted film maker and director of the film Sabyasachi Mohapatra and lead actress of the film Dr Tapaswini Guru attended the event.
later, noted linguist Dr Debi Prasanna Patnaik and Prof Manoranjan Mohanty felicitated Director Mohapatra and actress Dr Guru. Besides, students and faculties from the Ravenshaw University, Cuttack attended the event and participated in a question-answer session held on the occasion.
Notably, the Sala Budha has received seven State awards out of 30 awards declared in the State for films in November last. Moreover, Mohapatra’s directed Adim Vichar received national award for the best film in regional languages this month.
