The Sainik School Bhubaneswar celebrated the International Yoga Day on Thursday.
School Principal Capt (IN) Kanchan Mukherjee inaugurated the event by lighting the eternal lamp and delivered the Prime Minister’s message to over 600 yoga enthusiasts including the Vice-Principal, Admission Officer, staffs of the school. Capt Mukherjee spoke about the significance of yoga as an integral part of the curriculum for young Cadets of the school.
Yoga guru Hemboo Tirki of the Patanjali Yoga Samiti Bhubaneswar along with his colleagues conducted a yoga session as per the protocol of the Union Ministry of Aayush. A sport quiz programme, an essay competition and a book exhibition were also held on the occasion.
