The Sainik School Bhubaneswar’s 57th annual athletic meet held at its campus concluded on Wednesday which former Indian Armed Forces Major General SD Mohanty attended as chief guest.
Mohanty urged the cadets to grow physically and mentally by participating in sports activities along with academic growth and join the armed forces in large numbers.
In the meeting, cadet Ravi Kumar was awarded as the champion athlete for second time among seniors while cadet Subhakanta Mohanty was the junior champion. The Cauvery House received the shield as the winners, followed by Baitarni House as runners up among seniors.
Among juniors, Mahanadi House stood first and Godavari House was runners up. In the relay race of 4x100 meters, the cadets of Sainik School were the winners and team of BJEM School was second and ODM Public School stood third.
