Steel Authority of India limited (SAIl) Chairman CS Verma along with spouse Archana Verma and Director (Technical) SS Mohanty arrived at Rourkela on a two-day visit on Friday.
Verma inaugurated the Power and Blowing Station which is used for generating power as well as cold blast to feed the new Blast Furnace-5 and its stoves inside the plant. Thereafter, he inaugurated the Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI) at the Blast Furnace-5.Verma interacted with senior RSP officers regarding the plant’s performance in the last fiscal, plans for the current year and the ongoing projects. He attended the annual function of Deepika Mahila Sanghati held at the Civic Centre.The SAIl chief’s wife inaugurated a water supply and sanitation project at the model steel village Jagdishpur set up by the RSP. cleardot
