Sri Sathyasai Seva Samithy here celebrated “Harmony in Humanity” on December 31 in a unique way of welcoming the New Year, 2014.
The programme was held first in 1995 and is organised since then every year by the Samity by inviting most of the spiritual organisations to the Port City. The programmes included prayers, bhajans, group songs and devotional songs in the Sai Mandir on the midnight of December 31 to welcome the New Year.
Organisations like St.Mary’s Church, Shiridi Sai Sansthan, Jagannath Samaj, Art of living, Jama Masjid, Hanuman Upasana Samity, Satsang Vihar, Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Iswariya Viswavidyalaya, Shyama Shyam Ashram, Srimad Sarathi Dev Ashram, Mahapurusha Arakhita Das Ashram and Singitali Kirtana Mandali participated.
The programme was inaugurated by Paradip ladies Club president Binita Mishra. Sri Sathyasai Trust State convenor Antaryami Pattnaik offered Aarati to the Bhagwan. Paradip Port Trust Chairman Sudhanshu Sekhar Mishra, Chief Engineer AK Jain, Traffic Manager Kishore Kumar Sahoo, CEME Sunil Kumar Pattnaik and other officials attended. Besides, thousands of spiritual seekers thronged the Sai Mandir.
