A distinguished figure in the fields of tax law practice and lions Internationalism, Satya Narayan Sahu was felicitated here on Sunday on the completion of his 50 years of legal profession.
A band of eminent persons led by former top cop BM Pattanayak and his endearing wife Kamini, a lions functionary, and Barrister Bijay Kumar Behura, joined the heartwarming get-together and wished Sahu to render many years of his service to the society.
The friends of Sahu, mainly from among lawyers, lions members and mediapersons, waxed eloquent about “the man who is kind to all and has malice to none”. Besides the golden jubilee year of his lawyer’s career, it was also the occasion to celebrate the completion of Sahu’s silver jubilee of lions District Governorship.
Sahu’s colleagues, while speaking about his leadership qualities, recalled his pioneering effort in formation of the All Orissa Tax Bar Association in 1972. His well-wishers said that to commemorate the milestones of his life and works, a souvenir would be brought out on his 73rd birth anniversary on September 16.
