Responding to a request by the Doordarshan (DD) employees' association, KIIT and KISS have extended helping hand to the family of Achyutananda Sahu, the DD cameraman who was recently killed by Maoists in Chhattisgarh. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
The DD employees' association had requested KIIT & KISS founder Prof Achyuta Samanta to provide assistance to the family. Prof Samanta immediately announced to provide a job to the widow of the martyred video journalist along with all possible assistance to the family.
Prof Samanta saluted the courage of Sahu and condemned the Maoist attack on police and mediapersons.
