Odisha Maoist Party chief Sabyasachi Panda through an audiotape on Tuesday demanded relief and compensation immediately to the cyclone-affected people in Gajapati district.
He alleged that instead of providing relief to cyclone victims, the State Government is looting it. The audiotape was distributed to some mediapersons in Gajapati district only.
Panda accused the Government of not providing relief to the cyclone-affected people crying for food and other basic necessities.
He alleged that instead of coming to the hapless people’s help, Government officials are looting relief materials and funds. The Government thinks its duty is over after suspending some of its employees. Panda also alleged that the State the Central Governments have been selling the mining resources of the State at throwaway prices to private companies causing heavy losses to the public exchequer.
