Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda was produced before District Judge Gopal Chandra Patnaik here on Friday pertaining to six incidents in which Panda is an accused. He was brought from the Brahmapur Jail where he has been lodged.
The cases relate to incidents on March 24 and 25, 2006 in R Udyagiri involving burning of a jail, a police station and a treasury, abduction of a jailor and a police personnel, blast and cross firing and Telephone Bhawan arson.
Dipak Patnaik and Swarup Kumar Pal pleaded on behalf of Panda. The Judge asked Panda about his identity and address on Friday while on June 8 charges will be framed against him.
