Eminent film producer and director Sabyasachi Mohapatra was conferred with the 1st Niladri Samman by the socio-cultural organisation, Niladrivihar Youth and Cultural Association (NYCA), during its silver jubilee celebrations.
Educationist Basanta Kumar Tripathy and Jatra director Chhabi Barik, who attended as guests, honoured Mohapatra at a function presided over by NYCA president Dr Prakash Chandra Panigrahi.
Mohapatra was felicitated for his noble work in the social and cultural fields.
NYCA general secretary Biswajit Pattnaik appraised about the year-long activities of the association. NYCA cultural secretary Bata Krushna Panda, VP Sishira Kumar Moharana, many senior citizens, local representatives, intellectuals and association members were present.
