South African High Commissioner in India France K Morule visited the Bhoomika eye hospital at Jaraka and an eye camp at Patapura village under Dharmasala block on Friday.
Bhoomika eye hospital chairman Dr Bhisma Rath said, “last year, I was part of a high-level business delegation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his tour to Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya. During the visit of South Africa, the South African Government took interest in our work and urged us to set up eye hospitals in that country. We will build eye hospitals in Durban, Pretoria, Cape Town and Johannesburg, for which the South African High Commissioner in India visited the eye hospital in Jajpur district to gather firsthand knowledge about our works."
