A woman of Sundargarh district, who had been lured on promise of a good placement in New Delhi, was allegedly killed there and her body was recovered from the house where she was staying.
The deceased was identified as Sumati Topno who was a resident of Mantola Basti under Raghunathpalli police station. Sumanti's husband had abandoned her. Sumanti had come in contact with an agent and the agent allegedly lured her to go to New Delhi. However, Sumanti's family members did not receive any call from her since last few days and her family members were worried.
On Tuesday, her brother received a call about the death of Sumanti and he was told that the body was lying inside a house and was in partially decomposed condition.
According to sources, the Noida police had recovered the body and conducted post mortem. The Noida police, after registering a UD case, had reportedly informed the family members of the deceased.
