A teacher of a Government school of Sundargarh district has been duped of Rs 1.40 lakh by fraudsters. He lodged a complaint in the Town police station on Tuesday afternoon and the police have registered case and have started an investigation.
According to sources, Jyoti Ranjan Das, works as teacher in Durubaga Upgraded High School in Hemgir block in Sundargarh district. Das resides at Brahmanipada under Town police station at Sundargarh. On Saturday afternoon at around 1.30 pm, Das received a message in his mobile. When Das opened the message, and followed the instructions, Rs 1.40 lakh was debited from his account.
On Tuesday afternoon, Das lodged an FIR.
