Noted social worker and lawyer Rutuparna Mohanty returned here recently after spending 15 days in the United States and participating in various programmes organsied by the Centre for Community Solutions (CCS), a San Diego-based non-profit body that provides prevention and intervention services in the cases of violence and abuse.
During her tour, Mohanty’s portrait was also unveiled in the international photographic exhibition ‘My Sister’s Voice’ along with those of 40 pioneering women from across the globe having an international impact on society in an exhibition. The multimedia exhibition featured 40 evocative portraits of women from diverse generations and cultures.
Mohanty’s photograph was accompanied by a brief video documentary and ‘note,’ sharing a life lesson important enough to be passed on to the next generation.
