Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Ashok Samal on Thursday alleged that ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is misleading people of the State to get political mileage out of the statement of Union Minister of Tribal Affairs and Panchayati Raj V Kishore Chandra Deo on shifting of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) headquarters from Bhubaneswar to Visakhapatnam.
Samal said that when Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was part and parcel of the NDA Government at Centre, he never gave a statement in favour of formation of a railway zone in the State though State’s Congress Government placed a proposal for it. Now, the BJD is just misleading the people of the State, he added.PCC president Jayadev Jena said that Deo’s proposal is being misinterpreted by the BJD with political motive.
