The Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across the State would remain open for two days during the Durga Puja holidays for allotment of registration numbers of vehicles purchased during the festival.
Registration section of all the RTOs have been directed to remain open on October 5 and 7 from 3 pm to 5 pm for this purpose, said the State Transport Authority (STA) in a release on Thursday.
“All RTOs are instructed to check the dealer premises and ensure that no vehicle is delivered without registration. In case the dealer is delivering the vehicles without registration, then steps shall be taken for cancellation or suspension of the trade licence of the dealer,” the order stated.
However, Learner Licence and Driving Licence would not be issued at the RTOs during the Puja holidays from October 5 to 8, it said.
