A three-day workshop on the Right to Information (RTI) Act organised by the Rourkela Chapter of the Odisha Soochana Adhikar Abhiyan (OSSA) concluded here on Saturday.
Government officials of various departments participated and made an elaborate analysis on the implementation and success of the Act in the Steel City. The study showed shocking results.

Addressing the concluding session as chief guest, Rourkela SP Amitendra Nath Sinha said, “After 67 years of Independence we have not been able to reach our targets. That is why every conscious citizen should come forward for the interest of the society. The RTI implementation is praiseworthy in view of its objective to make the country developed.”He urged the RTI activists to raise voices against the corruption and irregularities boldly.
OSAA State convener and noted RTI activist Pradeep Pradhan said, “We have still to work hard for the successful implementation of the act.”Pradhan took a training session on the occasion.
Among others, Municipal College Principal PK Patra, NIT Public Relation Secretary RK Sinha and OSAA, Rourkela Chapter activist Dr AK Samal spoke.
