The training programme for the Sangha Shiksha group, which was being conducted by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Odisha since May 14, concluded at Keonjhar on Saturday.
The trainees displayed Danda and various kinds of Yoga on the occasion. A performance of Surya Namaskar by 350 Swayamsevaks enthralled the spectators, said RSS media cell State secretary Sumant Kumar Panda.
Indian Oil Corporation ltd’s Deputy Manager Brundaban Soren and RSS field executive for West Bengal and Odisha lecturer Gopal Mohapatra graced as guests. Soren hailed the RSS’ role in promotion of Indian culture while Mohapatra called upon Swayamsevaks to encourage patriotism in the society.
Mohapatra wanted to know why intellectuals, who have returned awards on silly matters, are silent on the incidents of stone pelting at Jawans in Jammu and Kashmir, beef feasting on the road in Kerala and anti-India stands taken by some students in the JNU. He said each and every person should have patriotism in his or her attitude, thoughts and expressions.
Among others, RSS national Saha Pracharak Adwaita Charan Datta, regional executive Anil Mishra and assistant executive Sudarshan Das attended as guests. While Sangha Siksha group executive Baleswar Sahoo delivered welcome address, group chief Ratikanta Baidya presented the report.
