RSS Pranta Sangha Chalak Samir Kumar Mohanty demanded strong action against the Jehadi elements in West Bengal and an immediate halt to the State Government’s policy of minority appeasement where a spate of attacks on the Hindus have taken place recently, especially in Malda and Dhulagarh areas.
Taking to mediapersons, Mohanty further told that the annual meet of the Akhilabharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha of the RSS held at Coimbatore from March 19 to 21 took up the issue in West Bengal and a resolution was passed to alert the Hindus across the country and the Central Government to take action.
Mohanty alleged that the Government of West Bengal is creating barrier against the normal celebration of religious function of Hindus.
While efforts are made to stop Saraswati Puja, many educational institutions have been communalised by celebration of Milad-Un-Nabi, he said.
Hindu population of the State, which constituted 78.45 per cent in 1951 has declined to70.54 per cent as per census of 2011. Smuggling of fake currency and cow slaughter along with illegal migration are being perpetually encouraged by these elements. During the investigation of Burdwan bomb blast, the national Investigation Agency (NIA) has found that several terror modules exist across the state and this network of Jehadi extremists spread on both sides of the border, he said.
