An employee of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was found hanging in a restroom inside plant premises here on Monday night. Sources said S-11 Master Operative KK Deo (52) attended duty in the general shift as in-charge House Keeper of the Secondary Steel-making Unit of SMS-I on the day. He had to return home at 5 pm, the closing time of the general shift.
Some employees found his body in the unit’s restroom at around 9.30 pm and informed the police. The police have sent the body for postmortem. Reason behind his death was yet to be ascertained.
Deo (52) is survived by his wife. He was a resident of Mayurbhanj district.
