Baleswar MP Rabindra Kumar Jena visited the District Headquarters Hospital here and took the stock of the situation after making rounds in all the wards.

After talking to CDMO Anup Ghosh, Jena found that the hospital is facing a big problem due to an adequate number of beds and doctors and other associated staffs. He said that since a large number of patients including the ones from the neighbouring districts and States were visiting the DHH, the hospital is overloaded and hardly able to cope with the requirements.

Jena said, “Since there is a need for upgradation and improvement in the DHH, A sum of Rs80 crore will be spent out of which Rs50 crore for purchase of the required machineries and equipments and rest Rs30 crore for upgradation of the infrastructure”.“After the DHH is equipped, the number of patients referred to Cuttack will reduce. Besides, the patients and their attendants will find a lot of relief” he added.
