Vigilance officials on Tuesday conducted raids on properties belonging to Jajpur Urban Cooperative Bank Senior Assistant Nagen Kumar Sahoo at Jajpur town and other places and unearthed unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 39 lakh.
Besides, the Vigilance officials also detected movable and immovable assets worth around Rs 3 crore in Sahoo’s name and in the names of his family members.
“We conducted raids at the residences of Nagen Kumar Sahoo at Singhpur and Kalyanpur villages in Jajpur district on charges of hoarding properties disproportionate to his income. We are also conducting raids in other areas to track Sahoo ‘s properties, said local Deputy Superintendent Police, Vigilance, SK Bhoi.
