Three motorcycle-borne miscreants looted Rs 50,000 from a private finance company manager at Bansa village in the Naugaon area in Jagatsinghpur district on Friday.

Reports said that the finance company manager Manoj Kumar Jena was returning to Naugaon block headquarters after collecting group loans from SHGs when the antisocial elements waylaid him at Bansa on the Naranpur-Bansa road and asked him to hand over the cash bag to them.

When he refused to oblige them, one of the miscreants opened fire to terrorise him. Another criminal brandished a gun at his head.

As Manoj fell down from his bike, the miscreants broke his bike dickey and decamped with the cash bag containing Rs 50,000.

Manoj later lodged a complaint at the Naugaon police station, following which police started investigation.
