The Sadar police arrested three persons, including a woman, and seized a huge cache of ganja by intercepting a car near the Patraput bridge in Korapurt district on Friday.
The accused were identified as Arvind Kumar, Komal Sonar and Shilpi Acharee. While Arvind is a resident of Buxar district in Bihar, Komal and Shilpi are of Assam.
The ganja was illegally being transported in a car bearing a registration number of West Bengal from Lamptaput. Police seized 22 packets of ganja weighing at 112.800 kg and valued at about Rs 5.50 lakh.
